DFP holds special outreach prog on agri

 

ITANAGAR | Dec 28 | Work hard to achieve target as there is short cut to success, UD, Hosing, Town Planning, Municipal Affairs and PWD Parliamentary Secretary-cum-local MLA Techi Kaso today said and exhorted the masses to avail benefits of various Govt welfare schemes.

Addressing a special outreach programme on agriculture in Ganga village near here, organised by directorate of field publicity (DFP),  he said that the DFP always publicizes these schemes but the people have to volunteer themselves as beneficiaries.

Highlighting different agriculture flagship schemes, agriculture assistant director Tasso Botung, as resource person, said that insurance company provides financial support to farmers suffering enrolled crops loss or damage by any unforeseen events under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). Farmers has to pay only 1.5 to 2% of premium amount under PMFBY while remaining is paid at 50:50 share by GoI & state Govt, he disclosed. He also elaborated the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojana, Chief Minister Krishi Reen Yojanaand Chief Minister Agriculture Mechanization Programme.

Agriculture deputy director Tadu Game, spoke on soil health card and Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana while XI Bath Ganga anchal chairperson Teli Yamang,  senior public leader Techi Necha, FPOs Rama Kamsa (Ziro unit) and Mihir Kumar Jha (Pasighat unit) also addressed more than 200 farmers, PRI members, HGB, GB and students.

A mass awareness rally, photo exhibition, group dance and quiz competition were also orgniased and quiz competition winners awarded during the daylong event. (DFP)
